Install in 5 quick steps
Download the extension
Click the button above to download the TruthGeek extension package, then unzip the file. You will get a folder named "TruthGeek-ChromeExtension".
Open the Extensions page
In Chrome (or any Chromium browser like Edge or Brave), type chrome://extensions into the address bar and press Enter.
Turn on Developer mode
Flip the "Developer mode" switch in the top-right corner of the Extensions page.
Load the extension
Click "Load unpacked" and select the unzipped TruthGeek folder. The TruthGeek icon will appear in your toolbar.
Connect your account
Click the TruthGeek icon, then paste the API key from your Dashboard to activate scanning.
Using Safari on Mac or iPhone? The TruthGeek Safari extension is free too. Once it’s live on the App Store, the “Get for Safari” button above will let you add it in one tap.
The extension is free. Every plan includes the browser extension at no cost — upgrade only if you want more monthly scans. Your data stays private; the extension only analyzes content when you ask it to.
